We receive a lot of feedback from people from all over the world who have been with us on holiday to East Africa - we have posted a few of their comments here along with some unique photographs they have provided us with. Should you wish to contact people who have been with us, to find out more about our services or the places they have visited, let us know so we can supply contact details for you to contact them directly.
Thank you so much for all your help in sorting every thing for our holiday, we all had a fantastic time and even more importantly we all made it to the top. I think that for most of the group it has been the most challenging thing they've ever done.
The safaris and camps were all great so all in all we really did enjoy ourselves thank you.
I will send you a couple more pic's later on.

I am so sorry I haven`t been back to you sooner but my partner broke his ankle the week we got back and it`s been chaos since!!
I just want to say we had the most fantastic trip – everything ran perfectly and even when luggage went missing on the flight – it was returned in time for the trek…The boys Stanley & Florent were great, the food was amazing, the hotels wonderful (and the new African Tulip Hotel is very nice as well)……I am so glad that we booked with Aim 4 Africa - it makes a change for everyone to be so attentive and eager to please.
I will try and promote your company as much as possible and I am really sorry I have not been back to you sooner…
Thank you also for the birthday cake and the pressies that me and John received – everything was wonderful!!!!!
Lesley & the other Kili 7 – I loved Africa!
Rach and I and James just wanted to say thank you so much for all your help in organising all of our travels. We just had the most wonderful time and wouldn't have changed a thing. I have set up a share album on a website with some of our photos so that you can see the gorillas and us getting to the top of Kilimanjaro! I will send you the link separately.
John was our guide for Kili and he was just fabulous. Rach was sick for the first few days and he was very concerned about her. In fact all of our guys were great - we had Hussein and Josphat looking after our meals and lots of great porters. Nobody thought we would make it to the top, especially because Rach got sick, so it made it even more special to actually get there.
We had Ali and Abdi looking after us on safari and we had a lot of fun together. Particularly when we had lions in our campsite in the Serengeti! We got to see a cheetah kill right in front of our car as well - Ali said he's only seen three in 12 years. We were very lucky. Well, again thank you again. Your help was what made us go with Roys in the first place and we are now very happy to recommend Roys again to our friends who are now all very keen to come to Africa. I hope you enjoy the photos.
Jillian Reid, Sydney, Australia
Just wanted to say a big thank you for all you've done to make our Kilimanjaro trek both successful and enjoyable. Our guide Elias and the rest of the crew were absolutely brilliant and we cannot recommend your company highly enough.
Kevin Wendt & Patrick Warren
Nancy, it was good to speak to you a few days ago and thank you again for a great holiday! Here are a few points by way of feedback.
What really made the holiday successful was the excellent service provided by Aim 4 Africa. With such meticulous preparation, we had confidence that the whole trip would run smoothly and it did!
The excursions in Nairobi (the giraffe centre, the Daphne Sheldrick elephant orphanage and the Carnivore restaurant) were well worth it, although it took a long time to get through the Kenyan border control!
Climbing Kilimanjaro was an experience of a lifetime and one that was essential to have a good guide. We must have had the best team on the mountain. Elias was a strong leader and inspired confidence as well as being constantly attentive to our well-being. Benedict's cooking was of an unbelievably high quality and we even had our own waiter! Taking the Rongai route was a good choice.
The safari with Roy Safaris was equally enjoyable. We had a great guide in Tesha who went out of his way to maximise our time in the national parks. It was definitely worth spending time in Arusha, Tarangire and Manyara before the more familiar parks of Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Each of them had their own individual characteristics. Our favourite accommodation was the Kikoti Tented Lodge and we would have liked to have spent another night there looking back. All the accommodation was of incredibly high standard.
Breezes resort in Zanzibar was a nice place and good way to relax at the end of the holiday.

Thank you to all at Aim4Africa for your terrific skills in putting together our recent holiday in Tanzania. We had hoped it would be a holiday of a lifetime, but it turned out to be even better! From the extreme physical pain of reaching the roof of Africa, to the sheer vastness and wonder of the Serengeti, to the laziness of Zanzibar, we were always comforted to know Aim4Africa was there for us if needed. It was a real pleasure to have met Nancy and worked with her as we refined our itinery - her knowledge of and passion for Tanzania shines through. This personal touch (including a wonderful surprise 50th birthday present delivered to my hotel dinner table!) was in stark contrast to the "call centre" approach of larger firms. I cannot recommend Aim4Africa, or their local affiliate Roy's Safaris, highly enough. Outstanding!"
I've attached my favourite picture of us at the top of the mountain, with our trusted guides. I'll get around to posting the pictures on a site where I can give you access, if you want to see our other pictures. I normally use Google pictures, so I'll send you the link when they are there.

Kilimanjaro trek (Rongai), Northern Tanzania Safari (Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro) and Zanzibar Beach Holiday, Dec 2008 - Jan 2009
We're back! It was the most amazing experience, and now it seems as if it happened in a dream. Everything worked out absolutely perfectly. The organization of our safari was first class. I'm just worried about Abdul who was our guide - he had to leave on our last evening because he got a message about a problem back home. And he was replaced by another excellent guide, only I don't remember his name. We only had him on the last morning. I do hope that Abdul's family is OK. We saw every single animal in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro and Manyara. All the accommodations were superb and Kusini camp was an adventure. A herd of buffalo tried to move into our tent in the middle of the night.
Everywhere we went we heard nothing but praise for Roy Safaris, which made us feel proud to be with them. Your name was mentioned too in conversations. It seems we were not the only ones to have been impressed by your service. All in all, one of the best holidays ever. You asked for photographs and I will email you some, but right now we are rather tired and we need to spend some time sorting out all our photos. You can be sure that all our friends will hear about the wonderful time we had with you.
One thing that is missing from Mike's pictures (although he took about 600) is good shots of the lines of migrating wildebeest. We saw lots of them, marching south into the distance in columns like ants. Most of them had babies too. You'll see I have a thing about babies.
A few photographs just doesn't do it justice, though. But I'm sure you understand what I mean. It was a most fantastic experience, and one I would some day like to repeat, maybe in a different part of Tanzania. We are so grateful to you and the whole team at RS and we wish you much success in your work in the future.
All the best for now,
Ela and Mike, UK
Now that I am back home to reality, I thought that I would drop you a quick line to thank you and your company for a superb holiday. Your staff are to be congratulated for the excellent service that Simon and I received with a special thanks to go to our driver - Gerarld and cook - Farridga (unsure about the spelling) who made our trip especially memorable.
We now have some great memories of Tanzania and hopefully in a weeks time a set of photographs that will ensure the memories never vanish
Thanks again, Kind regards, Rory Carlin, UK
I hope you are well and enjoying Sheffield. I wanted to let you know that our trip was absolutely perfect. Everything ran like clockwork from the moment we were greeted upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport to the moment we were dropped off at Zanzibar airport by Island Express. The people we met from Roy Safaris - Theo at the office, the drivers, guides, cooks and the porters were fantastic and made the trip a great experience - so I'd like to say a huge asante sana to all of them, and to you for the way in which you handled our questions and bookings beforehand!
I thought you might like to know that we both made it to the top of Kilimanjaro! We'd had headaches during the week as we climbed but on the summit attempt we had no problems at all, apart from our water bottles freezing - it must have been over -20 degrees! It was a fantastic feeling to make it to the top. We also enjoyed the safari which was brilliant. We saw so many animals and our guide (Richard) seemed to be an expert on each of them which made it even better. Zanzibar was really chilled out and Breezes was just as you said it would be. We felt a bit out of place as it was mainly couples but that didn't stop us relaxing. Once I have some pictures ready I'll try and remember to send you some.
I'd like to finish by saying that I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending you to anyone going to Tanzania, as I cannot imagine anyone else providing a better service. Once again, thank you very much.
Stewart Glynn, UK
Thank you very much for arranging the Safari in Tanzania. We had a fantastic time. Roy Safaris had left all the information we needed at the check in at the Impala and everything went very smoothly. The lodges were fine, they all had fun evening entertainment. The packed lunches from the Serengeti lodge weren't so good, Henry found a tsetse fly in his sandwich but breakfast and lunch were good. Speaking to other travellers we found out we got a very good deal for our safari so that was nice to know.
Our driver was incredibly knowledgeable and we got on with him really well, we ended up learning so much about the whole of Tanzania, not just the animals.
Everything was generally fine in Zanzibar, the breakfast was a little cheeky at the Amaan bungalows because they make you pay for a lot of extras. After travelling around the island independently and getting a feel for the prices we did feel like we'd paid way too much for the transfers and accommodation and if we went back we'd probably do everything by ourselves. At the time though we didn't mind paying for the peace of mind. All in all it will be a holiday I never forget, full of amazing experiences. Roy Safaris made sure we could relax and have a hassle free time.
Many Thanks, Sarah Hawkes, UK
We have thoroughly enjoyed our break...
Joshua was an excellent guide. The best accommodation was Swala Camp although we were happy with all the hotels.
Island Express did a morning tour of Stone Town. The return trip was very smooth, car and flight being all on time.
Thank you very much for planning and organising such a wonderful trip. Eileen appreciated very much the cake presented by Karufuu. We took it to our lodge to enjoy it with a glass of champagne.
Francis Jordan, England, U.K.
Just wanted to thank you for a great trip? The location was amazing and you really heard those lions roaring throughout the night. Felt very close to nature. . .the food and staff were fantastic . . . really, everything was perfect. . .wouldn?t have changed a thing. We really thought yours was a first class operation, and we were very impressed... you'll get 100% of our referrals.. . Your patience (answering our countless questions) and detailed preparation of our custom weeklong Tanzanian safari made all the difference. Everything from our itinerary, vehicle, lodging, and guide couldn't have been more perfect? we had a blast. I'm recommending you to everyone who's considering going to Africa.
Jed (Film Executive, London)
We just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you for all your help putting together our holiday plans for Tanzania. We had a tremendous trip and your recommendations were excellent. We were extremely impressed with the organisation for the Kilimanjaro trek in particular. It will be something to remember every Christmas from now on!
We got back to the UK last night so I thought I would email to say a huge thank you for all your help in planning such a fantastic safari for us! We had a brilliant time! Our guide N was great, the lodges were lovely and we saw loads of animals! Zanzibar was great too, lovely beaches! Thank you again for all your help, we had a wonderful time.
We are back in the UK now and looking back on our photo's of the safari we took with Raphael in August.
I wanted to write to you and Roy Safari's to say what a great time we had. It was such a memorable experience, the itinerary was perfect - thank you for your suggestions.
Raphael was a great guide, always checking we were happy and finding almost all the animals we requested! The balloon flight over the Serengeti was unbelievable and the breakfast afterwards - with so much champagne amazing.
best wishes, Robert and Maxine Parker, UK
We very much enjoyed our trip with you in November. We thought the level of service we were given was excellent. It was nice to have the same driver/guide (Salvatore) from the minute we arrived until the minute we left. Salvatore was a very knowledgeable guide and we got along with him very well. We felt that we didn't have to worry about anything, as it was already carefully planned for us.
Everything was very well organised and efficient. I can honestly say that we found no faults with any of our trip. The only thing that we would possibly change if we were to go again, would be to choose to visit only 2 parks rather than 3, as there was quite a lot of driving involved in our trip - which was unfortunate for poor Salvatore!
We would definitely recommend Roy Safaris to anyone who would like to visit Tanzania - in fact I have already suggested it to some of my friends and family.
Hopefully in a few years we will be able to visit again ourselves!
We had a fantastic holiday in Kenya and I just wanted to thank you for your care and efficiency in making the arrangements. Everything worked out perfectly (even the weather after a moist start!) We were particularly impressed by your ground services on safari. A benefit I had not anticipated before talking to you was the bonus of having the vehicle and guide to ourselves. So many other groups were six to a vehicle which must have made travelling less comfortable and game viewing extremely difficult. I am sure that it is huge plus point that you ought to plug strongly with potential clients.
Hemmingways was also fabulous, We were lucky with the weather - very warm but with a good breeze - and the fact that it was not high season and therefore uncrowded with lots of personal attention from an utterly charming staff who could not do enough for their guests.
I was so impressed by all the arrangements that if you ever want to pass my telephone number on to a potential client I would be more than willing to give a glowing testimonial.
With best wishes, Graham and Vanessa Jones & Stephanie Wells, UK
We're back from a wonderful safari in Kenya. Maasai Mara was a wonderful place and our best park. Kicheche Camp was exceptional - rustic but meeted our every need; it was great to have all comforts under canvas - a truly African experience! We wouldnt change a thing on the itinerary save perhaps to spend a couple more nights at Kicheche.
Thanks for the lovely surprise for our 50th Anniversary - so thoughtful of you! It was the perfect way to celebrate our great milestone!
We are already thinking of returning to Kenya perhaps in a few years time, and we will certainly be asking you to organise another trip for us.
Best wishes, Alan & Sylvia Taylor, Lancashire
Its been a couple of weeks since we got back but I wanted to say Thank You for arranging such a wonderful trip to Kenya. The staff at Kicheche Camp were exceptional, we have a few photographs for Charles, we hope you can forward this to him. We saw lots of incredible wildlife in the Maasai Mara, with the migration being a truly wonderful spectacle.
One of the highlights was the visit to the local school that is sponsored by Kicheche Camp. We are intending to send some supplies down to the school.
The next time we visit Kenya I think we would like to spend 4-5 nights at Kicheche.
Thank you once again for all the planning and attention to detail, Steve and Gill Olsen
Thank you for planning and ensuring our four week trip to East Africa was absolutely fantastic. The wildlife was spectacular and certainly in abundance, and relaxing on the beach for a few days at the end of our trip topped the holiday off nicely. We had a very memorable time and it was a great way to celebrate a couple of milestones.
Thank you for putting it all together for us, Susan and Peter Everist, Melbourne, Australia
I owe you a very big thank you - we had an absolutely wonderful trip!
As you said much of the accommodation in Rwanda isn't up to "normal" standards and we packed in too much travelling there. (I had no idea how hilly and hence how twisty the roads would be.) However our guide Musa was very good and our visit to the gorillas was awesome, (we'll definitely do that again).
Habib and our vehicle in Tanzania were first class. The Ngorongoro/Serengeti section of the holiday was the real highlight. We couldn't believe the vast numbers that we saw. We could easily have spent days just parked in the vast herds watching them go about there daily life. I know most tourists love to see lions but by the time we had seen our 19th group in just six days we were really bored of them! However our 20th sighting was of a pride lazing around in a tree at Lake Manyara and our interest levels were right up again.
Stone Town was great and our accommodations in Zanzibar and service were wonderful.
All in all it was an awesome holiday, thank you.
I have given your e-mail address to some very good friends of ours who want to do a Serengeti/Ngorongoro trip in July.
Thanks again, Stuart
My trip to Rwanda and Uganda was absolutely fantastic! Uganda is about the most beautiful country I’ve visited and Gorillas and tree climbing lions are mesmerising.
We were well looked after and had wonderful animal experiences. Generally the accommodation was great – and the permanent tented camp at Ishasha exceeded expectations – it wasn’t like camping at all. We saw all the animals we wanted to – lions climbing trees, gorillas and chimps in particular and the visit to the bat cave was a real experience.
I’d recommend this trip and your company to anybody. Thought you might find this feedback useful, Fiona Cohn, UK
We had the most AMAZING trip, almost every place we stayed took our breath away. The highlights for me were seeing 100 elephants in the river at Tarangire, having lions roaring outside our tent at Swala (my favourite camp) and of course the gorillas. Our guide in Tanzania, Baraka, was fantastic, so enthusiastic and knowledgable. Zanzibar was fabulous too, the Asali suite a perfect end to our trip. I haven't got time to write much now but here are some photos. If you want photos of any thing specific ask me I have 850! Thank you so much for the trip of a lifetime we have already recommended you to several people,
Love Lizzy and Trevor, UK
We just wanted to drop a line to say Thank you for arranging an incredible experience for our honeymoon in Tanzania.
The highlight of our trip was definitely chimpanzee trekking in Mahale. Greystoke Mahale Camp was a fabulous place to stay with superb service and welcoming staff. The flights over superb landscapes were a truly memorable experience.
Our Serengeti Safari was also great and finishing off our honeymoon at Fundu Lagoon in Pemba was definitely the icing on the cake!
Thank you once again for making our dream come true! Best regards, James and Phillipa
We had the most wonderful wedding ceremony in Zanzibar - thank you so much for your attention to detail. We loved Pongwe Beach Hotel - exceptional service.
Thank you so much for the trip of a lifetime we have already recommended you to several people.
Carron and Mark, Sheffield
Well that's us back now unfortunately & trying to settle back into normality (Whatever that is....). Just thought we would drop you a small note to say many thanks for helping to organise such a fantastic honeymoon for us.
Our wedding day went perfect & even the good old Scottish weather held up at the right times, it all went so fast but a great day had by all. Many thanks for your lovely card it was very nice of you.
The honeymoon, what can we say ? A definite once in a lifetime experience & thanks to your great advice on our itinerary & patience with us when searching for our accommodation, it was amazing & ran very smoothly. Roy Safaris were great & the organisation & welcomes we received made us feel very happy to be in their capable hands. A very special mention has to go to our Guide/Driver Eliona, His ability to spot wildlife & things of interest was unbelievable. The knowledge he had of the wildlife & surrounding area was second to none & we have come back with so much new knowledge.....
The Treetops in Tarangire was absolutely first class & we could have easily spent a whole fortnight there relaxing. The wildlife we saw was way beyond our expectations & yes we managed the big 5..... All 3 national parks offered a different experience & we could not pick a favourite.
Breezes in Zanzibar offered us the perfect retreat at the end of a very busy spell with our Wedding & the Safari & we just loved lying quietly in the sun with the Ocean to stare at all day long. Many thanks for the complimentary Dow Cruise, it was a lovely way to watch the sun going down. We were also taken by surprise by the treats laid on by the various hotels & lodges recognising our honeymoon. A nice touch.
All in all Nancy we had a great & very memorable Honeymoon to Tanzania & Zanzibar & we thank all those involved in making it what it so enjoyable. We would not hesitate in recommending yourself & Roy Safaris to anyone thinking of visiting Tanzania in the future
Kind regards, David & Marion Caldwell
We've just come back from our fantastic holiday in Tanzania. Thank you so much! Our guide and your staff were superb! Saw all the Big Five and my favourite was Ngorongoro Crater. We have already recommended you to several people.
Thank you very much for all you have done to make our family holiday so memorable!
Best regards, Louise Houston
Just wanted to write and tell you what an amazing trip we had in Tanzania.
Firstly a big thank you to you, for all the time you spent organising, you were such a great help and always so prompt in replying to emails, which makes things so easy at this end.
Roy Safaris were brilliant and we could not have wished for a better guide in Tanzania. Daniel was incredibly knowledgeable and had the ability to spot wildlife from miles away. A very genuine and friendly person, he was the key contributor to such an incredible holiday.
Our accommodation was brilliant, we thoroughly enjoyed the tented camps and were particularly impressed with Ndutu, we loved being able to sit out by a fire, drinking our coffee, watching zebras just metres away! I had a very special birthday at Kirurumu, where Daniel had organised for them to make me a birthday cake. The Sopa lodges were very nice but not really our cup of tea, we much preferred being more in touch with nature, the Serengeti Sopa lodge seemed to lack atmosphere but a great location and perfect for those wanting time out.
Again, a huge thank you for such a wonderful holiday, please can you pass on our thanks to Roy Safaris and especially to Daniel. We certainly would not hesitate to recommend you all.
Kind Regards, Hannah Bunny, group of 5, UK/Italy
